Segment 7 marks the northern end of the project area, where the river runs alongside industrial properties, existing park space, and a narrow stretch of the Parkway Trail.
This area is shaped by limited river access, constrained trail conditions, and the transition from more open landscapes to a more channelized urban edge.
With minimal area on either side of the river, this segment is characterized by its narrow edges, thus allowing opportunities for continued riparian enhancement and habitat restoration where possible.
With the linear nature of this site, opportunities for trail enhancements and additional water recreation programming around Redwood Trail Park would strategically activate the site. Developing a connection from the existing Mill Creek Connection would continue to being visitors into the great recreational loop that extends across all seven segments. Additionally, nearby redevelopment opportunities and potential neighborhood connectivity from the east and west would also create a north anchor along the Jordan River and act as a gateway to the rest of the larger proposed trail system.
